Pink House Alchemy: Vanilla Bean Syrup
Our vanilla bean syrup is a labor of love. We bring in barrels of raw vanilla beans sourced from Madagascar and use every piece of every bean. We split them, scrape the insides, chop the outsides, and use a double filter process to create an added richness. All the fuss is worth it: we’ve found that there is some kind of magic in the agitation of the skin, bean by bean. Try it—we think you’ll agree!
Suggested Uses: Vanilla Bean Coffee (1 oz of Vanilla Bean syrup, 1 solid cup of joe Simple and just right!) Vanilla Bean Soaking Cake (Your favorite yellow/white or citrus cake, 1/2 cup Vanilla Bean syrup; Remove cake from oven, use fork tines to pierce the surface of the cake, drizzle pH vanilla syrup in the holes, allow cake to cool. Serve with fresh peaches or apricots and sweet cream)

Mollyjogger: CCC Legacy Bandana
In one of our Nation’s most difficult periods, a group of men whose numbers ranked over three million left their homes and began an adventure across our great land. They were poor, mostly uneducated and many were hungry. Yet, what they didn’t lack was a capacity for hard work. These men re-shaped the landscape of our country. By planting nearly three billion trees, reducing a growing soil erosion problem and building structures in our state and national parks, they would allow Americans to enjoy our country’s natural resources for generations to come. They were the men of the Civilian Conservation Corps.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this item benefits the National CCC Worker Statue Program - honoring those who served in the CCC. Visit CCCLegacy.org for more information.

Mollyjogger: Scrimshaw Knife Kit
Scrimshaw is an early American art form originating from the whaling industry in the late 1700’s. During the many idle hours at sea, a whaler etched drawings of nautical themes on items that were readily available to him such as sperm whale teeth and bones. His primary etching instrument was a sail needle, nail or pocket knife. After he scratched his art work into the surface of the bone, he would rub lamp black or tobacco juice into the scratch to reveal the drawing. As America traveled west, the frontiersmen carried the art form with them, applying it to their powderhorns, knives and other accoutrements.
You can experience this art form too as you scrimshaw the images of a hunt, big catch or simply the family name on your very own bone-handled pocket knife. This kit includes all you'll need to complete the project and is a perfect starter introduction into scrimshaw.

Onyx Coffee Lab: Terroir Coffee Blossom Honey
Terroir is a new project for Onyx. Most coffee farmers solely rely on their coffee harvest to earn a living. The use of bees has always been a crucial step in helping the coffee trees to blossom. We are trying to provide a supplemental income for farmers by selling some of their farm's resources. First with cacao and now with coffee blossom honey. We're just trying to make the life of a coffee farmer a little bit sweeter (get it?).
